Huawei introduces the new NEXT IMAGE photo contest

Huawei continues to strengthen the focus on photography smartphone and presents its new NEXT IMAGE contest in partnership with the International Center of Photography.

With an increasingly dominant presence in the European and Portuguese market, Huawei continues to reinforce and disseminate its serious commitment to photography smartphone. Now, the Chinese giant company has just launched a new contest focused on the picture of experience with mobile devices.

Specifically, Huawei announced the first annual premium NEXT IMAGE in partnership with the International Center of Photography (ICP).

Li Changzhu, The vice president of Huawei Smartphones, and Mark Lubell, the executive director of ICP signed a memorandum of understanding at the launch ceremony, officially announcing the NEXT IMAGE Plan in various locations around the world.

Huawei bets on the photo again


The innovation of Huawei in areas such as AI, VR / AR, holographic optical image and have new forms of physical expression in our smartphones, " said Li at the signing ceremony. "These technologies also generate endless new possibilities of visual expression, making the creative process more enjoyable."

The plan will also include an act of collective creation initiated by ICP to be activated during the awards and for the coming months to encourage and support the participation of Imagemakers who are using the technology in smartphones.

In short, the competition takes a new approach to traditional elements of the contest, as design categories, presentation and jury.

Visual creations from around the world compete to become finalists of NEXT IMAGE, ultimately contributing to the premiums of the best in each category and the grand prize - a financial reward for creative champion NEXT IMAGE.

Next Image Registrations have begun!


Registrations officially started on September 9, 2017, and winners will be announced on December 19. For more details, see the official website of the prize here.
