Red, a Professional camera manufacturer, has entered the smartphone Industry with the launch of the Hydrogen One. This smartphone is being promoted as the world’s first smartphone to parade a holographic display. The brand also claims that one won’t be needing glasses to view any content on the holographic display.
According to Red, Hydrogen One is a 5.7-inch device with “professional holographic display,” which features nanotechnology that seamlessly changes between holographic content, traditional 2D content, Interactive games and 3D content, in both portrait and landscape modes. The Android-powered device gets the brand’s proprietary H3O algorithm; this converts stereo sound into multi-dimensional audio.
This device also comes with modular design, which allows you to attach additional camera modules to the phone’s rear, just like the setup on the Moto Z series device. Hydrogen One will be compatible with the brand’s cameras like EPIC, Weapen and Scarlet. The handset will get a headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. Full details regarding Hydrogen specification and display technology aren’t available at the moment.
The Hydrogen One comes with a steep pricing. This device come in two variant aluminum costs $1,195, while Titanium model will costs $1,595. The device is up for pre-order on the brand’s website and will start shipping in Q1 2018.
