Android O Check in to know More

Android O the next Operating system for Android device is upon us! Well, not really. But the first public beta and second developer preview, have been released and we're starting to uncover what Google has been doing with Android for the past year and what to expect when it's finally released for all to enjoy.

Android O Check in to know More

From Google we should expect the final version in late summer 2017 (and a Pixel 2 with some Great features in October). For now, though, there's a beta Out for some selected device to install easily.

What's new in Android O

The first Preview their is a better way to deliver professional-level audio and awesome ways to connect with others for things like head-to-head gaming or local social applications and a new ways to use custom fonts and icons.

The second preview added some notification badges, support for picture-in-picture, smart text selection, autofill support, and TensorFlow Lite for improved apps with machine learning integration.

The third Preview fixed bugs, finalized the Android O APIs for developers and added a few new features.

The fourth Preview is considered a Release Candidate, and is nearly free of damning bugs. (No Operating system is 100% I hope you know that)

Should you install the Android O fourth developer preview?
Sure! You can install the Android O Fourth Developer preview as it safe for everyday activities.

What will Android O be called?

Android O will be called Oreo. Probably.

What devices can this Android O developer preview be installed on?

The Android Oreo developer preview is available for Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Pixel , Pixel XL, Pixel C and Nexus Player.

This doesn't implies that Android O will be released for all of those devices above, as we saw the Nexus 5 got developer previews for Android 7 and it was not part of the release wired Right. There is a lot of work behind the scenes with licensing and software versioning so just because a device can run the software doesn't mean it will officially see it.

Will my phone be updated to Android O?

If your device is from 2016, the chance of it being updated to Android Oreo is less, But device that was debuted in 2017 has good chance to be updated when it's released if your Phone company see it fit to receive the update.

If you have any this device Pixel, Pixel C, Pixel XL, or a Nexus 6P or 5X, your device  will be among the first to receive the final version of Android Oreo.
