Nigerians Raise Over 8 Million Naira For Slain Hero Cop

I have always believed that Nigerians can do so much together if we set our minds to do it. Many of us watched the CCTV video of the robbery attack at a Zenith Bank branch in Owerri, a video that sent chills down our spines. The policeman in the video died two months later and he left behind a wife and seven kids.

A GoFundMe campaign has been started in honor of the brave policeman and in less than 24 hours, Nigerians have donated about $9064 (about 3.4million naira).

This fund is set up to help the widow and six children of Sergeant Chukwudi Iboko, a brave Nigerian policeman who fought valiantly against a gang of armed robbers which invaded a bank in Owerri, South East Nigeria in February 2017. He died from gunshot injuries a day after the incident.

Sergeant Iboko's exploits and bravery are documented in a CCTV video of the incident which went viral on the Internet, four months after the robbery.

His last child aged 5 died on sighting the corpse of his daddy. His widow and six children have been left indigent by his death and require help for rent, feeding, and school expenses.

Your donations will be used to pay off his family's accumulated rent, school fees, and other expenses.

This is quite amazing. Kudos to Nigerians.
