Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Schedule For Samsung Galaxy S6, S5 & Note 4 Revealed

Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Schedule For Samsung Galaxy S6, S5 & Note 4 Revealed

Google's newest operating system update has been reaching smartphones
from different manufacturers and with the leaked rollout schedule,it was
revealed that Samsung Galaxy S6, S5 and Note 4 will be receiving the
Android 6.0 Marshmallow update really soon.

According to Ecumenical News,
it is most likely that the newer flagships that were launched over the
past two years are expected to get the update in the first phase. These
includes the Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920G) and Galaxy S6 Edge+ (SM-928G)
which are believed to obtain the Android Marshmallow next month.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I) and Galaxy S6 Edge
(SM-G925I) are scheduled to receive the update in January next year. As
for the two phablets launched last year, Note 4 (SM-910G) and the Note
Edge (SM-915G), the leaked information  shows that the new OS will
arrive on the devices February next year.

Furthermore, Android Community
added other Samsung smartphones that are eligible for the Android 6.0
Marshmallow update. The Galaxy S5 has now been confirmed to obtain the
update by April while the Galaxy A8 will have it a month earlier, by
March. In addition, almost all of the A, E, and J series, save for the
Galaxy J1, are now on queue for the next phase of the Marshmallow
rollout.

Apart from the smartphones Andoid Headlines
reported that the tablets of Samsung will also receive the Android 6.0
Marshmallow update. Based on the leaked screenshot, the update for the
Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has also been approved, while the Tab S 8.4 is still
waiting for its update to be permitted.

Moreover, there's no ETA given for the third phase, but the Galaxy
Tab A (both 8-inch and 9.7-inch models) was listed as "Waiting
Approval". It was also mentioned that it may be the end of the road for
the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3, at least as far as major version
updates are concerned, since the updates for both devices are said to be
"Not Approved".

Samsung users can now rejoice as Android 6.0 Marshmallow update seems
to be already certain for some units like Galaxy S6, S5, Note 4 and
more. The release is expected to be a gradual process as it will be via
over-the-air upgrade.
